Iron Man

My son told me I never make anything for him. I guess he doesn't remember this or this. I found Iron Man material (men's pj pants) on clearance to use. My son loves his new shirt and shorts. I also placed one Iron Man on the back of the shirt.

Hair Stuff Board

Which clip should I wear?

I needed something where I could keep all the hair clips I have made for my daughters. I thought about doing the braided ribbons, but then I saw what I wanted to make. Well, sort of. What I found was glass that was covered in the ribbon. Um, glass? Hello! I have young children who like to throw things. PASS! No, WAIT! I decided I could not make the same thing using cardboard. Empty diaper box her I come! I also wanted to be able to hang this on the wall. I used my hot glue to stick a pop can tab on the back. This was an easy NO sew project.
(I actually used a side from the DVD box)

Next project...easy to store headband ribbon

Hair Stuff

My 4 yr old daughter loves to 'fix' my hair. She likes to have her hair look like mine. She wants to be able to fix her own hair so I decided to make her some fun hair things. Most of these things that I made are attached to clips which also means that they can clip to headbands if she wishes. I also attached a few items to rubber bands for some fun and cute piggy tails.

My 1 yr old daughter will also be able to wear these if she would leave them alone. :)

While making these things, my son asked if his dog 'Sarah' could have one.

Pettiskirt

After seeing this pettiskirt, I wanted to make one for my daughter. I thought it would be a fun Christmas gift so, I started making one. I ran out of time and energy. I put it aside in my closet.

SO now it is May, and I was tired of looking at it. I decided to finish it, it just will not be as full and fluffy. So back to the gathering, and pinning, and gathering. I finished it!!! It is a little long on her, but it gives her plenty of room to grow! She loves it! She loves the way it twirls around her and that it is PINK!

On a side note, she loves her new flower clips that I made for her.

Teacher Appreciation Week

For Teacher Appreciation Week, I wanted to create something fun for my son's K teacher. After some searching, I decided on a fun flower note holder with surprises for every day this week. The flowers hid clothes pin. The flower pot is painted with chalk paint.

The various surprises are stickers (something all K teachers need), a Thank You note (something ALL teachers need), mints, and seeds. Each surprise has a 'catch' phrase like 'You were "mint" to teach!'
