Homemade Christmas 2012

Another Homemade Christmas...

Another apron for my girls.  The aprons are personalized with their intials.  These are made from repurosed jeans.  Here is a tutorial for the jean apron.

A rose scarf - this is made from felt.  I sewed the scalloped circles together to make the flowers.  Then I sewed the flowers to the felt scarf.  This could be a no sew project by using a glue gun.

A friend of mine asked if I could make a dress for her daughter out of some material that she had.  This is what I made.  From what I hear, the daughter loves it!

Another RePurpose for a T-Shirt

I have a few shirts that I love but I do not wear anymore. My youngest is outgrowing her summer clothes. So, I decided to turn my shirt into a dress for her. I originally planned to make this like a pillow case dress using ribbon. However, when I saw this dress (make it and love it), I changed how I was going to make the straps. I used the 5 braided pieces for a collar instead. This shirt is now a comfy dress for my youngest.

Another purpose

I made these shorts for my 4 yr old daughter using my 6 yr old son's old jeans. Even though they are 2 years apart, my 4 year old is wearing the size my 6 year old is out growing. She needed some shorts (and have you noticed how short girl shorts are). The knees in his old jeans were ripped so I cut them off and added a ruffle of material. My daughter has been asking for a capital N shirt so I use the same material to grant her wish.

Dress for a 1st Birthday

I've been bitten by the crafty bug. I felt that my youngest needed something to wear to make her 1 st birthday special. My first thought was to put the number 1 on a shirt. I didn't have a plain white shirt in her size. So, I grabbed 2 shirts that my older daughter could no longer wear and cut them down to fit my youngest. After remaking the shirt and adding a 1, I decided to add a ruffle to make it a dress. Then I thought it needed something more, so another ruffle. I also added the little flower. I also picked out the pink/purple flower headband that I made a few months ago.
